Federation of Indian Chambers
of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) jointly with National Disaster
Management Authority (NDMA) and Ministry of Environment and Forests
(MoEF), Government of India and Petroleum & Natural Gas Regulatory
Board (PNGRB) is organizing a mega Conference on "Emergency
Planning in Industries Including HWM and Transportation of Petroleum,
Petroleum Products, Natural Gas by Pipelines & POL Tankers"
on August 30-31, 2010 at FICCI, Federation House, Tansen Marg, New
Delhi.
It is an epoch making conference
where participants from various industrial sectors would participate
to compare and emulate their existing chemical safety and security
network with best practices in technology and management as observed
elsewhere in the world. Most renowned, accredited and practical
faculties world over are invited to participate in the conference
for presentations. Panel discussions on Jaipur - IOC Fire Accident
Investigation Report and on Bhopal Gas Tragedy Verdict would give
an impetus to the proceedings.
Objective of the Conference
is to make industry globally safe by better emergency planning both
on-site & off-site and to minimize accidents occurring due to
storage, warehousing and transportation of Hazardous Wastes, Petroleum,
Petroleum Products and Compressed Gaseous either through Pipelines
or POL Tankers. The Conference proposes to adopt a very profound
approach and focus globally on Public-Private-Partnership in a holistic
manner so that chemical safety is put on safest platter through
sharing of experiences, technologies and best practices.
